Bridgeport to the Virginia Creek Settlement
- From Bridgeport, head South on US Highway 395
- Follow US Highway 395 for 5 miles
- The restaurant and office are on the right side of the highway
- Look for the blue building with the windmill out front
- If you reach Highway 270 to Bodie, you have gone 1 mile too far
This is just a modest little restaurant, but they do a damn good job with their food!! My family and I stuffed ourselves on pizza and pasta and salad and we thought everything was straight up delicious and the value was far superior to what we got at a different restaurant where we had dinner the night before in Bridgeport.
In fact, my steak salad was perfect. The sear on the tender pieces of lightly salted steak, coupled with the crisp, cold salad greens was exactly what I was craving. Well done!
When I return to Bodie I will be staying here again and eating all my meals here too.

The Pizza here in unreal. Easily the best pizza on the planet and I look forward to our annual trips just for that. It's easy to over order though because the pizzas are big to begin with and then with so much cheese and ingredients we always have tons left over.
Breakfast is great as well. I always have Country Fried Steak and it's always awesome with brown gravy and eggs perfectly cooked.

Hell Ya!
A great place for any weary traveler. Private cabins by a cheerful creek to quiet the mind and still the night. All good, all good and will be back. Great anytime of the year! And if you are the adventurous type you can bring your bag and stay in a covered wagon. Nice touch!

Great experience! Highly recommended.
We spend there only one night but enjoyed it a lot. Very comfortable and beautiful area. The staff was extrmely helpful. Special thanks to late check-in. We were not able to inform that we would arrive very late after midnight so when we finally arrived we found all the instructions to check-in on the desk near the reception door. I wish I could stay there for a couple of nights more.

Chose to stay a night here to visit Bodie and ended up staying two.
We stayed in one of the motel rooms. While rustic, it was cozy and comfortable. Plenty of warm comforters on the firm queen bed. After visiting Bodie, we slept like logs.
We had a few meals at the restaurant. Two dinners and two breakfasts. Everything was well cooked and tasty. The service was perfect and all the people were friendly.
At dinner, you must leave room for the apple dumpling. Go ahead and add ice cream.
In summary, everything was perfect. From the reservation process to check out. Book ahead as this place is popular.
